About DCPA | Officers | Committees | Newsletter | Membership | Community Outreach | Meeting Registration | Current CPP/FPC Study Groups | Vendor Partnerships Welcome to the Denver Chapter Payroll Association's Website. DCPA is dedicated to providing an opportunity for networking and educational growth to payroll professionals in Colorado. Please take time to look through our site and see what we offer. Our mission is: The Denver Chapter Payroll Association is a non-profit organization which promotes the advancement of payroll as a profession. The Chapter achieves this by providing networking opportunities and by offering discussions and educational presentations from local, regional and national representatives. Members sustain a high level of competence in relation to the laws and regulations associated with payroll processing and reporting. Continuing education is encouraged through local study groups for Certified Payroll Professional and Fundamentals of Payroll Certification exams. The organization also supports other charitable organizations by volunteering time and financial resources. We invite you to attend our next meeting. We meet monthly (except January and September) at the Holiday Inn Select on Colorado Blvd just North of Cherry Creek Drive. We hope you will join us soon!
Colorado State Minimum Wage versus Federal Minimum Wage If an employee is covered by federal and Colorado state minimum wage laws, then the employer must pay the higher minimum wage. On January 1, 2010, federal minimum wage is scheduled to remain at $7.25 per hour, which is higher than the Colorado State minimum wage of $7.24. Therefore, covered employers in Colorado will have to pay their employees the higher value of $7.25 per hour under federal law.
